Agreement
By using botwmap.com (the "site"), you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean the people who run BotW Map, and "you" means anyone who visits or uses it.
What the site offers
BotW Map is a free, unofficial fan resource for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It includes an interactive map with shrines, Korok seeds, chests, quests, shops, armor, enemies, materials and wildlife, guide pages, progress tracking in your browser and printable map files. The site is available in several languages. No account is needed, and we do not charge for any part of it.
Using the site
You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial play and research. You agree not to:
- copy the site, its data files or its design to run a competing service;
- scrape or download the site in bulk with automated tools in a way that slows it down for other visitors;
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or the services it runs on;
- use the site in a way that breaks any law, or to send spam or harmful code;
- remove or hide the credits, notices or ads shown on the site.
Search engines and AI assistants may crawl and index the public pages, as set out in our robots.txt file. Linking to any page or to a single marker is always welcome.
Printable maps and downloads
The printable map files are offered for personal use. You may print them, keep them on your own devices and share a link to the download page. Please do not sell the files or print them for sale.
Nintendo's rights
The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild and all related names, characters, artwork and map imagery are trademarks and copyrights of Nintendo. BotW Map is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Nintendo. Game names and map images are used to identify and describe the game for fan reference. If you represent a rights holder and have a concern, please contact us and we will respond promptly.
Our content and data sources
The site's code, design, text and layout were created by us. Marker positions, shop stock and item stats come from game data documented by the ZeldaMods community, and quest lists and names in other languages come from Zelda Wiki. Both are credited on the site, and their content remains subject to their own terms.
Accuracy
We work hard to keep every marker correct and cross-check the data against the game files. Even so, the information is provided for convenience and may contain mistakes or be out of date. Some items only appear after a quest, at a certain time of day or in a game version or mode, and items that only exist in Master Mode are left out. If you find an error, please tell us.
Your progress
Progress, layer choices and your own pins are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. We do not store them and cannot restore them. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing or switching devices can remove or hide them. Use the backup code in the map panel to keep a copy.
Ads and links to other sites
The site is supported by ads served by Google AdSense, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not control the content of individual ads, and showing an ad does not mean we endorse the product. The site also links to other websites that we do not run. We are not responsible for their content, products or practices.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or from relying on its information, including lost progress or lost data. Because the site is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to zero. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to the site and these terms
We may add, change or remove features at any time, and we may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
